Zender is Live Content software for brands, publishers and broadcasters who want to reach the mobile generation. The platform helps you create interactive, live game shows on smartphones, and makes sure the livestream is flawless for massive audiences.
Hendrik Dacquin: co-founder and Head of Creative
Hendrik has been working on more engaging and interactive forms of video for over 15 years.
First as a researcher at Nokia where he conceptualised and developed early social TV prototypes (Amigo TV). Later he joined Belgium’s public broadcaster VRT, where he was involved in the first second-screen applications.
In 2012, Hendrik founded Small Town Heroes, a creative agency focused on media. Small Town Heroes completed successful projects for TV shows and TV networks, from children's apps (Ketnet jr., Ketnet, Karrewiet, Zapplive), TV quizzes (Blokken, Who is the Mole?) to platforms (Studio100 Go, BNN-VARA).
After many great projects, in 2016 Hendrik and the whole team at Small Town Heroes decided to turn their accumulated knowledge and technical know-how into a product. Zender was born, a cloud-based Audience Engagement software platform.
Patrick Debois: co-founder and CTO
An expert in the technology surrounding live interactive television on mobile, Patrick takes care of the technical aspects that brands and broadcasters experience in the transition to enter into a dialogue with the audience.
Bringing an exciting mix of technological background and hands-on broadcasting reality to the table, Patrick is asked to speak about IT infrastructure and streaming technology at conferences all over the world, eg Oracle Code San Francisco and Streaming Tech in Sweden.
Under his guidance, Zender platform is built for scale from the ground up. It is a secure, stable and scalable platform for mass participation that allows brands, publishers an broadcasters to reach high numbers of people with live interactive shows.
Here they are, a brave bunch of creatives and techies, ready to turn the TV world upside down.
